Nikolai Mushegian, a brilliant developer considered a pioneer in the world of cryptocurrencies, was found dead on October 28 in Puerto Rico. While police have explained that they are not treating his death as murder, a tweet posted shortly before his disappearance was the subject of numerous conspiracy theories.
He was widely regarded as a cryptocurrency pioneer. At the age of 29, he had actively participated in the development of decentralized finance. But the one who had a bright future ahead of him was found dead on October 28. Nikolai Mushegian was discovered that day on a beach in Puerto Rico, where he lived.
The New York Post reports that the American lived in a luxurious $ 6 million mansion in San Juan. His body was found by a surfer around 9:00 am in Ashford Beach, an area considered dangerous due to its particular currents, so the hotels in the area are officially alerting swimmers. When he was discovered in the waves, Nikolai Mushegian was wearing his clothes and had his wallet on.
His death could have remained a mere tragic accident had his latest tweet, published a few hours earlier, not been at the center of many conspiracy theories. While local police have announced that they do not regard this death as murder, subscribers to this tech genius are confident that it has a much darker story behind it. “The CIA, the Mossad and the pedophile elite are at the head of organized sex trafficking between Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands,” he wrote on October 28, adding that he would soon be trapped and “tortured to death.” He implicated his ex-girlfriend in this tweet, who he said was a spy. “There are three possible futures for me: 1 – suicide, 2 – to become a CIA slave, 3 – to become the worst nightmare of the people who have so far wished me harm.”
The CIA, the Mossad and the pedophilia elite are managing a kind of blackmail of sex trafficking from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands. They’ll frame me with a laptop that my ex-girlfriend who was a spy dumped. They will torture me to death.

These remarks, the latest in a series of many other equally disturbing tweets, have sparked a lot of reactions in the cryptocurrency community. While for some they are mostly similar to attacks of paranoia, for others they are proof that the developer was killed. This is specifically what he wrote on Twitter Ameen Soleimani, boss of Spankchain cryptocurrency: “Nikolai is FUCK DEAD. I bet he was murdered. He was found drowned 4 hours after the riskiest tweet he ever wrote. He has had all year to drown or be attacked, so it seems unlikely that his death had anything to do with his tweet about him.
“Since Nikolai has involved the CIA and the Mossad in all this, there is no doubt that his murder is linked to the highest authorities,” he went on before citing the powerful businessman Jeffrey Epstein, head of a vast traffic sexual, found hanged in prison. “It is a consensus in the cryptocurrency community that the Mossad was using Epstein to trap American politicians and businessmen. And we know he didn’t kill himself and we know who killed him.” As a main argument, Ameen Soleimani takes up the popular theory among conspiracy followers that “the pedophile elite can make people disappear”.
On the Reddit site, many users also support this track. “Given the ridicule of Epstein’s ‘suicide’, the list of his clients that has never been made public, the fact that they have never been prosecuted and all the other bribes we’ve seen since early 2020 less, what Nikolai said it’s perfectly plausible and reasonable, “writes one forum user. Also on Youtube this case is passionate. Among the recently released videos are “This millionaire trader killed by the CIA and the Mossad”, “Pedophile trafficking unmasked after the death of a crypto influencer”.
The wake of suicide
However, Nikolai Mushegian’s own relatives are skeptical of these allegations. A source quoted by the “New York Post” describes him as a “very, very intelligent” person who also had “mental problems” and suffered from paranoia. “He has seen a psychiatrist a couple of times. But he smoked a lot of drugs. A lot. “A source close to the investigation cited the Decrypt website, also explained that many elements suggest he would commit suicide. After breaking up with his girlfriend (the one he thought was a spy), he would become more and more isolated in his own. Puerto Rico home, continues the “New York Post”.
Brock Pierce, a former child actor seen in the film “Les Petits Champions” who became a billionaire thanks to cryptocurrencies, told the American media that he was initially “very upset” after the death of the man he knew well. But after talking to those close to the 30-year-old, he too headed for suicide. “His mother was clear about his death having nothing to do with his tweets. He was a handsome man with an innocent heart. He was also an incredible visionary, I don’t often call bright people, but he was. And sometimes bright people are on the verge of insanity, “he continued.
Another close friend Decrypt interviewed let him know that his death could have been prevented, pointing to mental health problems in the cryptocurrency community, calling its leaders “bright but troubled”. On this death hangs in particular the memory of John McAfee, inventor of the homonymous antivirus, who committed suicide in prison in Spain in 2021. This big sulphurous Tech was arrested for tax evasion after incredible legal cases worthy of a spy film, which mix a murder case, the dark web, drug stories and a yacht ride. A few minutes after his death, a mysterious photo was posted on his official Instagram account (now unavailable). A “Q” that for some referred to the enigmatic and anonymous leader of QAnon, whose conspiracy theories are being resumed around the world.
“Nikolai worked for an incorruptible world”
But beyond his tweets, Nikolai Mushegian was above all a man who wanted to revolutionize finance by making it fairer in the world, explains the “New York Post”. “Nikolai worked for an incorruptible world and he wanted there to be a separation between bank and state, just as there is a separation between church and state,” said Brock Pierce. “He thought the world would be better off if central banks couldn’t print money and finance wars.”
Another conspiracy theory claims that the developer was also developing a new decentralized currency that could have worried states and led to his assassination. But for Brock Pierce, none of this is true: “Intelligence agencies don’t hunt down cryptocurrency pioneers. If the government were to eliminate people from this community, I would know ”.
