SPECIAL VALLEY OF ISRAEL. ANNIVERSARY OF A STARTUP. Three years ago Qedit announced a fundraising of 10 million dollars from Tel-Aviv and Paris (Champs-Elysées).
Co-founder of Bits of Gold and another startup sold in New York, Jonathan Rouach, CEO of Qedit, was born in Lyon. He studied in Paris and at the Technion in Haifa. Since the beginning of the adventure, Qedit has recruited bright and ‘positive thinking’ students from ESCP Europe and HEC. Jonathan had launched Qedit with Ruben Arnold (Paris).
At the Technion in Haifa and at the University of Tel-Aviv Jonathan Rouach has given several memorable lectures on “Competitive Intelligence”.
Three years ago IsraelValley was very happy to announce the huge success of Qedit. The founder of IsraelValley (and father of Jonathan) writing the lines about him had experienced sleepless nights. There is no success without taking risks… The day will come when the story of Qedit will be taught in the best management universities. (DR)

QEDIT Unveils Partnerships with VMware, Ant Financial and RGAX to Promote Its Secure Blockchain Data Privacy Protection Protocol Based on Zero-Knowledge Proof Technology.
This The announcement follows a $10 million Series A fundraising round.
QEDIT, the Israeli startup that has developed an unprecedented solution to preserve data confidentiality in the Blockchain by Zero-Knowledge Proof, has announced its partnerships with VMware, Ant Financial and RGAX (subsidiary of RGA – Reinsurance Group of America), three companies exploring applications of QEDIT solution in their respective industries.
For Jonathan Rouach, CEO and co-founder of QEDIT: “Today marks an important step in achieving our goal of ensuring secure collaboration between companies that use sensitive data. Working with VMware, Ant Financial, and RGAX will enable us to drive Zero-Knowledge Proof technology interest enterprise-wide across multiple business sectors. »
For the banking sector, QEDIT’s solution is a guarantee of confidentiality during the transfer of assets over decentralized networks. This solution also allows companies to develop supply chain management systems with their entire ecosystem while maintaining data confidentiality. QEDIT’s financial partners use this technology to accurately calculate a credit score, based on personal data, without having access to that data.
QEDIT broadens the reach of its products by partnering with leading companies in cloud computing, fintech and insurance. VMware, a global leader in cloud infrastructure, harnesses the power of disruptive technologies such as edge computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain and machine learning. Ant Financial offers financial services accessible to everyone internationally with Alipay, the world’s first mobile payment service. RGAX, the processing unit of the global reinsurance company Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA), is primarily focused on life and health insurance solutions to expand industry reach and accelerate the development of new services.
For David Tennenhouse, general manager of research at VMware “VMware’s partnership with QEDIT represents a great moment for VMware Blockchain, our company’s blockchain platform. QEDIT’s solution enhances distributed consent within the VMware Blockchain: it provides the advanced technologies needed to share information across organizational boundaries while meeting the highest security and privacy standards for our customers. »
Geoff Jiang, vice president and general manager of Ant Financial’s business and technology innovation group believes that his company and QEDIT share a common vision of privacy protection and security: “Strong privacy safeguards are essential for the continued development of the financial sector in general. With QEDIT, Ant Financial is committed to providing such features as part of our blockchain services. »
Leo Wong, managing director, Asia Pacific of RGAX enthusiastic: “We are delighted to have invested in QEDIT and its solution for enterprise-level data privacy and security, which harnesses the power of blockchain technology. This technology can transform processes for global health and life insurance companies, but only if people’s personal data is secure. QEDIT provides a solid layer of security for companies that hold a significant amount of sensitive private data. »
This partnership announcement came after QEDIT raised $10 million in Series A. The fundraising was led by MizMaa Ventures, with participation from Ant Financial, RGAX, Meron Capital, Collider Ventures, Jovono and Target Global.
With this funding, QEDIT is refining its secure data privacy protection protocol and expanding its market and partnerships.
For Isaac Applbaum, co-founder of MizMaa Ventures, who spearheaded QEDIT’s Series A fundraiser: “QEDIT is at the forefront of implementing Zero-Knowledge Proof solutions. This will accelerate the adoption of blockchain technology by enterprises. We are very happy to be part of this adventure. »
Jonathan Rouach concludes: “The fact that we managed to raise $10 million is an important sign of confidence from major investors. Developing partnerships that advance QEDIT’s privacy solution is essential to our primary goal of promoting the adoption of blockchain solutions within enterprises globally. Our partners share our vision of the blockchain, which is about achieving ever higher levels of privacy and security. These partnerships are therefore a natural fit. »
