Binance’s philanthropic arm, Binance Charity, has announced plans to fund scholarships for the year 2023. This initiative aims to fill the talent and diversity gaps in the Web3 industry. Well-known universities, colleges and vocational training providers from around the world are partners in the program.
A real opportunity for training and development in web3
Binance Charity, the philanthropic arm of the Binance exchange, will award 30,665 Web3 scholarships. In fact, the Binance Charity Scholaar Program (BCSP) will offer free education and training in this field. The aim is to meet the needs for skilled manpower and talent in this sector.
“We recognize that digital education and skills development may be out of reach for many, resulting in a blockchain industry lacking in diversity and talent. This initiative will therefore allow students interested in this technology to improve their skills without encountering financial obstacles”.Binance wrote in a blog post.
Binance Academy, the company’s non-profit educational portal, also supports the initiative. Recall that in 2022, Binance Charity raised more than $3.5 million. These funds have funded over 290,000 hours of Web3 training courses on the platform. This performance allows managers to maintain great enthusiasm for the outcome of this project.
Many training centers interested by this scholarship
The success of this program of BCSP will require the involvement of many reputable training centers around the world. The universities involved include the University of Western Australia, the University of Nicosia in Cyprus, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Germany and the Nigeria-based Utiva Technology Center.
Vocational training providers included are Simplon, Women In Tech, Kyiv IT Cluster. To this list is added the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. Binance Charity highlights the participation of Women In Tech, a program that will train approximately 3,000 women. The choice focused in particular on women from rural areas of South Africa and Brazil.
Binance Charity has not confirmed when the more than 30,000 positions will be filled and when each of the scholarship programs will be valid. However, he is happy to hear that this project will have an impact on the Web3 roadmap.
